Lanehead Old School Bed and Breakfast is a converted Victorian School, fully refurbished in 2023 to provide cosy and luxurious accommodation.
A Weardale Bed and Breakfast, located in County Durham, on the borders of Northumberland and Cumbria. nestled in the beautiful Weardale countryside, situated in the North Pennines area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) and UNESCO Global Geopark site.

Locally are the villages of Cowshill, Wearhead, Nenthead, Killhope, St Johns Chapel, Eastgate, Westgate, Ireshopeburn and Rookhope. The historic towns of Alston, Stanhope and Wolsingham are close by, where guests will find a variety of shops, cafes and public houses.
Lanehead Old School, situated on the A689, is also ideally located for access to Cumbria and the Lake District, Corbridge, Blanchland, Hadrian’s Wall, Northumberland, Yorkshire Dales, Scottish Borders, Gretna Green visitor attraction and shopping, Gateshead Metro Centre, Hexham, Allendale, Allenhead, Newcastle, Darlington, Durham, Penrith, Appleby and the beautiful Durham Dales.
Isaac’s tea trail is a popular walk, along with the Pennine Way walking route, where walkers enjoy the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty , boasting stunning moorland views, meadows, waterfalls and clear skies at night, making it a star gazers dream
